Shengdana Chikki

Shengdana Chikki, a traditional Indian treat made from roasted peanuts (shengdana) and jaggery. Peanuts are a nutrient-dense source of plant-based protein, healthy fats, and essential vitamins like niacin and folate. Ingredients

-2tbsp / 28gm Clarified Butter
-1cup / 150gm roasted Peanuts
-0.75cup / 180gm Sticky Jaggery

Methods

1. Heat jaggery in 1/2 cup water till the syrup is hard ball consistency.

2. Add groundnuts.Grease a board and spread the groundnut-jaggery mixture.

3. Roll flat to 1 cm thickness.

4. Cut into squares when sufficiently cool and hardened.

5. Store in a container lined with butter paper. Enjoy!
