Chivda Namkeen

Chivda provides a source of whole grains and healthy fats from nuts. The inclusion of spices not only enhances the flavor but may also have mild anti-inflammatory properties. Poha provides carbohydrates, offering a quick and easily digestible source of energy.Peanuts provide protein, contributing to muscle repair.

Ingredients

-1cup / 33gm Rice Flakes
-2tbsp / 30gm Peanuts
-1tsp / 5gm Mustard Seeds
-0.5tsp / 1.5gm Turmeric powder
-0.5tsp / 1.5gm Chili Powder
-0.5tsp / 2.5gm Cumin Seed Powder
-0as required / 10gm Salt
-1tbsp / 14gm Cooking Oil

Methods

1. Heat 1/2 teaspoon oil in a pan. Add poha / chivda and roast on low flame.

2. In another pan add a little oil and roast mustard seeds and peanuts.

3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder and salt. Stir and switch off the gas. Add roasted poha to this and mix. Cool and serve.

4. Keep in airtight glass jars.
